Local Ground Performance Experts
Our engineers test and evaluate soil and rock properties, design and construct utility projects, and design foundations for structures of all sizes. We have significant experience with subsurface conditions in both Kansas and Missouri.
Working with our Team
A typical geotechnical engineering project begins with a review of project needs and then a site investigation to determine soil, rock, fault distribution and other properties on and below the building site. We also assess possible environmental risks from landslides, sinkholes, soil liquefaction, debris flows, and rockfalls in order to determine and recommend the best designs for each project.
Our team can deliver deep foundation systems like Auger Cast Piling and Drilled Piers most commonly associated with high load structures, however, we prefer to use geogrids and aggregates, or rammed aggregate pier systems because they are more functional, budget-friendly, and promote collaboration between design and construction practices.
Our drill rigs are owned and operated by AOG staff and are capable of drilling holes up to 14 ¾ inches (36 cm) in diameter using hollow stem augers.
