A day in the life of the Geotech Engineer includes:

What you need to be successful:
• Familiarity with the Greater Kansas City area’s geology, industry, and construction practices
• Current Professional Engineer license
• 3 to 5 years experience as a Professional Engineer in the area of Geotechnical Engineering

Love working outside, digging in the dirt, and working with big trucks and equipment? Companies hire us to see what’s in the ground before they build. As Field Technician, you’ll help discover what is in the soil.

Inspect your new role:

As a Field Technician, you will perform field investigations for construction projects in and around the Kansas City area.

• Perform testing and observations on commercial construction projects
• Prepare daily reports and test data for accuracy and completeness
• Work with project engineers and clients to meet client specifications

Can you dig this?
• Starting compensation ranges from $20 to $25+ per hour
• Excellent benefits package including medical, dental, and vision, 401(k) plan matching up to 6%, PTO, and paid holidays
• Expand your education, skills, and certifications through company-provided training, reimbursement, and mentoring

Weigh your qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Even though we will train you, 2-5 years of construction materials testing and observation experience are preferred
• The ability to lift to 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions
• A mathematical aptitude and an eye for detail
• A valid driver’s license and a good driving history required
• Familiarity with iPad, computer, and smartphone for paperless reporting (MS Office)

• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician • Preferred Certifications • ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector • ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector • ICC Soils • State DOT Certifications • NICET Certifications • Nuclear Gauge / Radiation Safety

As a Senior Field Technician, you will perform field and environmental investigations for construction projects in and around the Kansas City area in an elevated role:

• Perform testing and observations on commercial construction projects
• Prepare daily reports on observation activities
• Review observation and test data for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with training and mentoring of junior staff as needed
• Work with project engineers and clients to ensure that client specifications are followed

Can you dig this?
• Starting compensation based on your current registration, testing, and inspection certifications

• Expand your education, skills, and certifications through company-provided training, reimbursement, and mentoring

Weigh your qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent

• The ability to lift to 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions
