Mark Twain Elementary School

This two-story elementary school in Kansas City, Kansas was designed to complement the historic Wyandotte High School, located across the street. The new building was completed in time for the 2013 school year and can accommodate up to 322 students. Each classroom in the 45,920 square foot building has its own sink with storage, wireless access points, Apple TV and a classroom iPad.

The site work consisted of constructing a new two-story building on the existing property, retaining walls, two separate playground areas with hard and soft play areas, sidewalks, a bus drop-off, and pick-up lane, and 36 parking spaces. AOG inspected all soils, concrete, steel, and asphalt for the project. In addition to all the field testing, we also provided the initial Geotechnical Engineering services.
