Lee’s Summit Volkswagen
The development boom along Independence Avenue in Lee’s Summit, Missouri began in 2014 with the opening of a new $4.6 million Volkswagen dealership at 2225 N.E. Independence Avenue.
Alpha-Omega Geotech was retained by Dixon & Associates to provide Special Inspections and construction monitoring services for the project. During construction, we discovered a large filled-in pond in what’s now the parking area and recommended new engineered fill be placed in the pond for stability. We also provided recommendations for remediation of soft soils for the pavements.
