Alpha-Omega Geotech is a seasoned engineering group with expertise specific to the Kansas City area. We partner with owners, architects, commercial developers, general contractors, and civil and utility engineers to expose what’s lurking under project sites.
Building on Kansas and Missouri Soils
The soil in and around Kansas City is not the same as the soil in other parts of the country. We have a lot of clay in our area, as well as rock materials in various formations and soil testing can shine a light on potential problems before they become costly.
Land thought to be sufficiently solid can turn out soft under scientific scrutiny and crucial soil inconsistencies and variations may also be uncovered. Only accurate test results can show where adjustments or soil replacements may be needed.

Working With AOG
Working with us means lowering the risk of surprises that slow projects down. Our subsurface forensic experience gives us the ability to forecast problems before they become road blocks and our team is prepared to work with the most complex and challenging conditions.
We understand the realities and limitations of soil, steel, concrete, asphalt, and other materials and offer valuable local insight so projects can move forward.

Our goal is to get buildings up and out of the ground in the safest way possible.
Full-Service Geotechnical Construction Materials Testing Laboratory
Alpha-Omega Geotech operates one of the oldest and most acclaimed soil and concrete testing laboratories in the Kansas City region.
We’ve spent decades sifting through soil and rock materials in and around Kansas City and that historical subsurface knowledge often allows us to jump-start projects because we know what builders are up against.
Our test results provide insights needed to make critical decisions with fewer risks, and our lab manager, Tom Burdick, is a long-time trusted leader among top area architects and developers.
